Roll then Divide

That's why we're excited to introduce a fun and dynamic worksheet aimed at students in kindergarten to year 3: "Roll The Divide." "Roll The Divide" is a versatile worksheet designed to help students strengthen their understanding of division concepts while having fun. With its interactive format and engaging activities, this resource transforms math practice into an exciting game.

Roll the Dice
Students begin by rolling a standard six-sided dice. The number rolled determines how many shapes they will circle in each box on the worksheet. For example, if a student rolls a 3, they will circle 3 shapes in the box.
Grouping Shapes
Students continue rolling the dice and circling shapes in each box, making groups of the rolled number until there are no more shapes left or there are only 1 or 2 shapes remaining, not enough to make a full group.
Fill in the Missing Numbers
Next to each box, students fill in the missing numbers in the statement that describes their division process. For example, if a student circled 3 shapes in each group and had 1 left over, they would write "3 groups of 3 and 1 left over" in the statement.

Repeat the Process
There are six boxes on the worksheet, so students will need to roll the dice six times to complete all parts of the activity. This repetition reinforces division concepts and provides ample practice opportunities.
