How to Use the Number Cups Activity
Materials Needed:

10 cups per student or group, each labeled with numbers 1 through 10.

If cups are unavailable, print page 2 of the provided document, which features printable cup images as substitutes.
Setting Up the Activity:

Print pages 4 to 8 of the document, which contain cards with pictures of 6 cups stacked in a pyramid (3 cups on the bottom row, 2 in the middle, and 1 on top).

Each card displays numbers 1 through 10 in various representations such as words, tallies, dice, dominoes, fingers, or blocks.

Cut out and laminate these cards to create durable, reusable materials.
Conducting the Activity:

Distribute the 10 labeled cups or the printed cup images to each student or group.

Provide each student with one of the laminated cards.

Students must identify the numbers represented on their card and find the corresponding cups.

They then stack the cups to match the pyramid pattern shown on the card, leaving 4 cups aside.
