The Tenses Using Verbs worksheet starts with a short explanation:
A very common mistake in writing is to change tenses of verbs. Verbs must be in the same tense.
Students are given four sentences where the verbs switch between present and past tense. Their task is to rewrite each sentence so that all verbs are in the past tense. For example: Singing to herself, Arabella brushes her hair and grabbing her bag. By rewriting this sentence in the past tense, students practice identifying verbs and applying consistent tense throughout a sentence.
